Perhaps changes can be made today only through thoughts that do not directly aim at change. And it is characteristic that whenever one seriously expresses thoughts that do not address the question “Yes, but what am I supposed to do, here and now?” – one is regularly met with a howl of rage (it can also be a silent howl) that respects no demarcation lines, political or otherwise, simply because it is unbearable not to give oneself up to some praxis or other.
